Caribbean plants - A parasite nevertheless

Suck on others and breed

These are the dispersed seeds from bromeliad plant. Actually they are quite lovely to see when the plant is ready to spawn. From a open cone at the crown of the plant's stem, thatches of silk haired strands expel into the air. The shape is best described as a wire framed umbrella.
