After Piss Christ
I never thought of using this work because I felt a strange sense of voodoo. I also had that parallel feeling experienced with Jean-Michel Basquiat's bead chain that remained me to think only of museums. Why do these objects possess a charm? In Andres Serrano's replica of Piss Christ, I simply submerged a chrome crucifix in a tub of rain water that had accumulated algae. Allegorically using algae plasma represents the cycle of life produced from the basic component all life, photosynthesis. Serrano's intention may have to do with ritual significance.
This looks earily like the real thing! Cudos to you.
