These springs feel like barbwire after Mona Hatoum
I experienced a measured amount of anger with this installation. I also was particular that the floor was swept and the bed post and bars relatively clean. In assembling the colanders, the entire process seemed vindictive. Who would think of making such a sculpture so hazardous that it could maim someone as it did, pricking me. Overall Mona Hatoum's installations are of oppression, confinement and of excess baggage, I find them superficial and just duplicates, yet with this work there was a stilling to it.
